Freeze onions

The first and most important trick is to freeze the onions. Although it is not the best, freezing is not the wrong decision. It keeps the onions perfectly fine. But wait! Do not place the whole onion in the freezer. Peel the onions, cut them into slices and place them in a resealable packaging. Now you can easily store the onions in the freezer for about six months.

Place the pieces of onion in a bag. Before closing the bag, remove all the air from the bag. Now place the bag in the freezer and use the onions for six months.

Freezing the onions can make them a little moist or watery. So don’t eat the raw onion, but use frozen onions in soups, sauces and stews.
